bio

Joe Stanczyk is a USA Hockey Level 5 coach and accomplished hockey leader with over 13 years of experience developing players and building high-character team environments within the Colorado Rampage and Monument Rebels organizations. His approach is rooted in long-term athlete development, emphasizing skill progression, accountability, and a team-first mindset.

In addition to his work in Colorado, Stanczyk served for 10 years as the Youth Sports and Fitness Director at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam (JBPHH), where he oversaw large-scale youth programming and built structured, development-focused athletic opportunities for military families. His leadership in that role strengthened participation, elevated coaching standards, and created a positive, disciplined environment for young athletes.

Stanczyk also played a key role in growing the game in California as a founding contributor to the Jr. Gulls program in San Diego alongside MF Schurman and Gust Filantres. That experience reflects his ability to build programs from the ground up and establish clear development pathways.

Across all levels, Stanczyk is known for setting high standards on and off the ice. He is committed to developing complete athletes—players who compete, lead, and carry strong values beyond the rink—while helping families navigate the game with clarity and purpose.
