bio

Andrew Sherman is the owner of Monument Ice Rinks and founder of its club hockey facilities in Colorado. A former RIT captain who played two years of professional hockey in the minors, he bought the facility out of bankruptcy and built it into a premier program.

As head coach of Tier 1 AAA, his teams made the state championship game every year from 2004-2017, winning state titles in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2012, 2013, and 2014 (two three-peats). They also earned 2 Rocky Mountain District titles and 2 USA Hockey National appearances. Since 2017 the program has grown to 12 total state championships and 4 National appearances.

He developed dozens of USHL draft picks, several NHL draft picks, and many players who reached the AHL and pro hockey. Standouts include Grant Arnold (2-time captain at University of Denver), Max Hartner (Air Force captain whom Frank Serratore called one of the very best captains he ever coached for his leadership), Kyle Delaurell, Ryan Massa, and Nick Halloran (all on the initial Hobey Baker Memorial Award list), as well as JJ Crew and Josh Holmstrom — both USHL draft picks who played Division 1 hockey and now coach at the Division 1 level at their alma maters.

A former NHLPA-certified player agent, he also worked with the NFLPA preparing players for the Combine and draft.

Andrew lives in Colorado with his wife Amber, children Kesslyn, Finley & Landon, and dogs Axel & Celly.
