The Colorado Rampage are proud to have the support of USA Hockey and their SafeSport programming to help make the Rampage program the safest place possible for your athlete. Please download the handbook below to better understand the SafeSport guidelines.


The safety of participants is of paramount importance to the Colorado Rampage. USA Hockey SafeSport is the organization's program related to off-ice safety. USA Hockey has long had systems in place to protect its participants from physical abuse, sexual abuse and other types of abuse and misconduct that can be harmful to youth hockey players and other participants. These include without limitation Physical Abuse, Sexual Abuse, Screening, Locker Room Supervision, and Hazing Policies, in addition to Codes of Conduct applicable to administrators, coaches, officials, parents, players, and spectators. The Rampage SafeSport Policy is intended protect its participants from all types of misconduct and abuse.

Protecting Our Athletes

Your Role in Locker Room Safety

Locker room monitoring protects privacy, prevents misconduct, and builds trust. Your presence helps ensure every athlete feels safe, respected, and supported.

  • Key Responsibilities

    • Two-Deep Rule: Always have two screened adults present.
    • Same-Gender Monitoring: Assign monitors who match the athletes’ gender whenever possible.
    • No Cell Phones or Cameras: These are strictly prohibited in locker rooms.
    • Privacy First: Athletes must change in designated private areas.
    • SafeSport Compliance: All monitors must complete training and pass background checks.

  • Concerns

    • Unscreened adults entering locker rooms

    • Cell phone use or photography near athletes

    • Confusion about gender-specific monitoring roles

    • Failure to document and report concerns

  • In the Locker Room

    • Athletes must change in private areas only.

    • Monitors should remain present until all athletes have exited.

    • Report any concerns immediately to the designated SafeSport contact.
