From Player to Mentor: Pat Bingham's Hockey Journey and Coaching Legacy
In the bustling hockey landscape of Vancouver, British Columbia, Pat Bingham embarked on a remarkable journey that transitioned from a professional player to a revered coach. Born with a passion for the game, Bingham initially carved his path through various hockey leagues, making notable appearances in the AHL, ECHL, COHL, SUHL, and SHL until 1998.
In a pivotal career move, Bingham redirected his focus towards coaching, marking the beginning of a coaching legacy that would span over fourteen years. Over this period, he helmed teams in both the American Hockey League and the East Coast Hockey League, accumulating an impressive record of over 1,000 games. Bingham's coaching prowess earned him recognition, setting Professional franchise coaching win records for six different teams, with the Elmira Jackals (ECHL) being one of the notable highlights.
Currently, Pat Bingham holds the esteemed position of President at the Colorado Rampage Association. Additionally, he dedicates his time and expertise as a full-time coach at the 365 Performance Hockey Academy. In this role, Bingham channels his passion and professional knowledge into the development of aspiring hockey players. His influence resonates with 365 PHA students, as they not only enhance their skills but also cultivate quick thinking and situational awareness, crucial elements for future success at both the professional and collegiate levels.
